It didn't feel as rushed as last week. Kagura got her due, I felt.

Not as rushed, and I did actually manage to get attached to her all over again. I think the manga developed more of how truly evil the act was. It did come across in the episode mind you, but not to the same extent. I didn't feel it as profoundly. Maybe it was just knowing what was going to happen, I'm not sure.

When Sesshoumaru showed up I nearly had tears in my eyes when he said he came knowing it was her. I don't even like Sesshoumaru and it got to me.

This reminded me why I really never liked Kikyou as a character. While she does provide a nice foil and a running subplot; she always comes off to me as less of a tragic martyr and more as a arrogent, self-important bitch.
